Apprenticeships in the Security Industry

Apprenticeship Skills Ltd is part of the wider based Response Security Group (RST) formed to promote and deliver skills and sustainable job outcomes primarily in the security sector. Apprenticeship Skills work largely with the 16-24 year age group, identifying career opportunities for individuals and supporting them through the process of work placement and work based training.

Our approach looks closely at the needs of the employer and their main operational requirements.  It is our belief that the industry is considerably under represented in the younger age group, not least due to the industry failing to attract new talent and not offering a clear career pathway.  We also believe that the level of enthusiasm, energy and ambition shown by young people can quickly compensate for any short fall in experience. Apprenticeships can be the vehicle to meet this shortfall successfully.

We deliver Apprenticeships in ‘Providing Security Services’ a full level 2 transferable qualification at no cost to the employer (See Downloads) This includes a Technical Certificate, Key Skills and an NVQ in a formal partnership with the employer and the Apprentice. We can supply suitable candidates through our pre-employment process which can include vetting, mentoring, compliance and training, often under pinned by separate funding streams.

(RST)enjoys a formidable reputation in our industry, having worked in training, consultancy and recruitment for many years.  Clients include the British Museum, the British Library, and the NHS, as well as G4S, OCS and Corps Security. We are also working closely with 'Clapham Park Project'.  We have worked overseas as well as the UK, in countries such as Trinidad & Tobago, Canada and Saudi Arabia.
